Border control

Due to the fact that the world is becoming more interconnected, border control points are being transformed; they are leaving quite static borders and are cooperating with the government in real time.

State security units, together with technology providers, offer safer and more effective procedures for verifying documents and identity cards, since national and international security is at stake, and the number of people crossing borders is growing.

Electronic machinereadable travel documents (eMRTD) and automated border control help in the timely detection of violations or identify travelers with a high level of risk. These technologies are used not only to improve safety, but also to maximize convenience and reduce the time of screening at border crossings.

Document Screening System (DSS) — a modern integrated information system designed for an extended check of travel documents, including foreign passports, diplomatic passports, ID-passport ID cards of an immigrant, ID-card travel, refugee identification cards, etc. The check is carried out according to specially developed rules and on the basis of images of the page of personal data in visible, ultraviolet, infrared and axial light.

DSS provides interaction with external databases for additional verification, for example, on the database of stolen and lost documents, lists of wanted persons, etc.

The solution consists of several modules:

  • Identification of a citizen. Software solutions for identification and verification of travelers.
  • PKI. Software solutions for document validation based on the exchange of digital certificates.
  • Border control. Software solutions for equipment used at border checkpoints (biometric verification, identity verification in lists and data registers, recording and storage of data for future use).
